Dick Cheney, who served the United States as Secretary and Chief of Staff under a president and also during Congress has been a great servant to our nation. It's clear that he is a true gentleman, who has the respect of all Republicans and Democrats. Cheney claims that the role he plays in the administration as that of a frank but discreet adviser to Bush. In accepting the Republican vice presidential nomination Cheney stated that he looks forward to serving with an administration that will strive for the accomplishment of goals through engaging across the partisan divide as well as working with opposition politicians to achieve a mutual goal. Richard Bruce Cheney was born in Lincoln Nebraska on January 30 1941 the child of Richard Herbert Cheney and the former Marjorie Lauraine Dickey. At the age of 13 Richard and his family relocated from Nebraska to Casper where his dad was the Director of the U.S. Department of Agriculture local soil conservation district.
