April Lockhart
April Lockhart born 4 July 1995. She began with guitar and piano in 7th grade which sparked the interest of her. at the age of 12, April composed her first single Different. When she was 14 April was a big devotee of her time to singing and writing songs. She started writing songs alongside her father and her dad in NY and LA within a short time. April started to include other subjects in Take My Hand for the people in her life who are struggling with disabilities, peer pressure or even suicidal thoughts. Lockhart is a lifestyle and beauty influencer with a growing following. She works with popular brand Ilia with whom she has a partnership as well as being a lifestyle expert. Since she was born without a left hand, Lockhart is an important part of herself. But it's not the only thing she has to tell. As a result Lockhart's Instagram profile does not shy away from her disability, but it doesn't center around her disability as well. The profile is a statement. That we all contain multitudes and that we are all unique and that we are greater than the physical person we are. It's not my intention to let that be the only thing that defines me. I don't intend to become an influencer where it's the only thing I discuss because there are so many other things about me Lockhart states in video form from her house in Nashville. It doesn't impact my daily life. I conduct every day as normal and have found my own way to adjust to things. Because it's part of who I am, it's something that's worthy of talking about. Lockhart is a huge inspiration to her fellow women with regards to self-acceptance. However, she admits to going through phases of being uncomfortable with her body, and also feeling uneasy wearing certain clothing styles that exposed her arms. Today, she wears anything she likes and uploads images of her outfits to social media, she is proud of herself. To her, self-love was a long process. This is true for everyone, no matter what their levels of anxiety. It is important to have people that know and appreciate your situation. They will be the ones to ask what you worry about?
