My child played around in the playpen as I sat for 12 hours in sanding floors as well as removing the wallpaper. Ha! The whole thing was beginning to take shape, however we weren't anywhere near finished. It was going to take a lot of money effort and my personal favorite brands interiors to decorate this place. I was able to outgrow my space because I owned plenty of pieces that I was able to use. Over 1000 people visited my home over the course of a weekend, to shop for everything on the ground floor. This is where my business Growing Days was born. As my business flourished as did our family. Finding the balance was important to me. I wished to balance being a mother as well as a business owner who was successful. Growing Days just seemed to fit. Nora, my 4th kid was born in the year 2013. While I was pleased with the direction my business took, I felt like I had to take an occasional break. I decided to put off working on my antique furniture and stay home with the kids. It was the right time. However after a few months off the phone started to ring. I was getting calls from people asking for help with decorating their homes and interior remodeling. They had mainly been to my home during open houses that were held for furniture. I started taking on some clients at a time going at my own pace however it wasn't long before I had multiple accounts and was running a complete home renovation business. If you had told me that my business would be the basis for a DIY Network show, I might have been astonished. In fact, I laugh slightly when I recall the episode.
